  I have stayed here in the past and also used the spa facilities. This is the best hotel in Dundee currently and very high standards. Prices are reasonable and when the V&A opens soon this is in an excellent location.

  This is a pleasant, if rather bland hotel.We paid extra for a room overloking the water which was nice although the view was spoilt by the amount of seagull excrement on the window. The room was large, clean and well equipped, all the usual gear, iron kettle, hairdryer etc.nice big bed and 2 comfy armchairs plus plenty of cupboard and hanging space if you were staying longer . Bathroom had a walk-in shower as well as a bath which is a bonus as many hotel rooms have shower over bath or shower only. Toiletries were a bit stingy, doesn't matter to me as i rarely use hotel toiletries but i would have liked a shower cap. Service at checking and checkout was not very friendly or welcoming, no one asked if we had enjoyed our stay. The restaurant looked pleasant but had very limited menu. We chose the hotel because of its location , on the waterfront and paid extra for a room with view of the waterfront. It is also about 5 minutes walk from shopping. Car parking is included in the price which is a bonus given its central location. Good value overall.

  Was at the apex on the 31st of May, for a work related Dinner. The front desk, waiting and bar staff were excellent as always; however Incredibly disappointed by the food.
  
  Was a set menu of Goat's Cheese salad, Haddock and Sticky Toffee pudding.
  
  1. The Goat's cheese salad was undressed, with very little effort put into the preparation (or so it seemed).
  
  2. The main was over-cooked piece of haddock with an inedible tasteless herb crust. This was served up on a lump of mashed potato, into which the two pieces of very nearly cooked asparagus were pressed, and what looked like a burnt piece of broccoli.The whole thing was drowned in a butter sauce which over powered any flavour that may have remained.
  
  3. Pudding was good.
  
  Quite disappointing really, as have had food in the apex before and been really pleased.
